The APAC Wind Energy Summit 2025 wrapped up in Melbourne last week, bringing together policymakers, developers, OEMs, and innovators from across the Asia-Pacific region. Over three days, the summit provided a platform for powerful discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration on how to accelerate the growth of onshore wind in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
For ZendIT, the summit was an opportunity to showcase how AI is transforming project delivery in the wind sector. Our Chief Product Officer, Nathan Barnwell, delivered a keynote titled:
“From Chaos to Kilowatts: AI’s Role in Onshore Wind Projects”
as part of the session Advancing Onshore Wind in APAC: Innovation Across the Project Lifecycle. In his talk, Nathan highlighted the challenges that many wind projects still face, including outdated processes, fragmented communication, and a lack of real-time visibility - factors that can leave teams “flying blind” and hinder performance.
Nathan demonstrated how ZendIT uses AI to cut through complexity, reduce ambiguity, and eliminate project blindness. By providing project teams with predictive insights, real-time monitoring, and historical performance data, ZendIT enables developers and operators to make faster, smarter decisions across the project lifecycle.
“AI isn’t just a tool - it’s the backbone of modern wind project delivery,” Nathan explained. “When teams have clarity and insight at every stage, they can transform chaos into kilowatts.”
The summit also reinforced an important industry truth: while the potential of AI is widely acknowledged, adoption in onshore wind remains slow. Many projects still rely on manual processes and disconnected systems, leaving them exposed to inefficiencies and delays. ZendIT is working to change that, leading the charge toward fully integrated, AI-driven project management.
Over the three days, delegates shared insights and strategies for scaling onshore wind in APAC, from repowering existing projects in mature markets to optimising new builds in emerging regions. Topics included advanced turbine designs, predictive maintenance, digital twin technology, and innovative approaches to project optimisation.
GWEC’s closing remarks by CIO Stewart Mullin captured the spirit of the summit perfectly:
“We actually have to take the ideas, this cross-pollination of ideas, and bring them into our communities, actually work with them in our communities and develop our communities around these things.”
At ZendIT, we take that call to action seriously. Our approach goes beyond talking about AI – we’re embedding it into real projects, helping teams turn insights into action, and supporting the growth of APAC’s wind industry with smarter, safer, and more efficient project delivery.
If your projects are still flying blind, and you’re ready to change that, let’s talk.
The APAC Wind Energy Summit 2025 may have closed, but the conversations, insights, and innovations will carry forward - and ZendIT will continue to lead the charge in driving AI adoption across the region’s wind projects.
